“I was inspired by Celtic lore and legend in which Cernunnos is the King of all forest creatures. Though usually depicted in human form with the antlers of a Stag I carved him as a Stag, rooted in the forest and growing from the earth (the bowl), his hind legs as trees gradually evolving into his body. The Torc around his neck demonstrates his power and authority within his realm.”
